On November 17, 2024, The Community Church gathered for a dynamic Sunday service centered around the theme of Worship and Word, set by Bishop Florence Chaurura. The service commenced at 9:30 AM at our cherished location on 323 Affirmative Way, at the corner of Willowvale Way and Highglen Rd. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as members arrived, eager to engage in a time of worship and fellowship.

Bishop Chaurura established the theme for the day, emphasizing the vital connection between heartfelt worship and the teachings of Scripture. The theme verse, Psalms 119:105, which states, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” served as a guiding principle for the service, reminding everyone of the importance of God’s Word in illuminating our spiritual journeys.

We were privileged to have Guest Pastor Charles Mawungwa join us, who delivered a powerful sermon that resonated deeply with the congregation. His message complemented the theme, encouraging attendees to embrace both worship and the study of the Word as essential components of their faith.

The service featured uplifting music that inspired congregants to engage wholeheartedly in worship. Moments of prayer and reflection added to the sense of community, allowing individuals to connect with God and support one another.

Overall, this Sunday service was a wonderful reminder of the significance of worship and the Word in our lives. The impactful sermon delivered by Pastor Mawungwa, along with Bishop Chaurura’s thoughtful theme, reinforced our collective commitment to grow in faith and unity as members of The Community Church.
